We were replacing a mattress at our cabin this summer so went to the local store. While they had limited selection, we tried their samples. Looking for something less firm than our usual and with less "pillow top" than the usual these days. We just kept trying all the queen samples. Walden Firm was very comfortable. Not too hard or too soft. Pillow top was the same way. It happened to be very reasonable on pricing. Bought it. Loved it. Bought another one at home to replace 20 year old mattress. Outstanding price & comfort.

I was a bit worried about this purchase and was going to plunk down over $2000 in a big name brand. I did a bit more research and found some helpful sights about the optimal mattress in memory foam. Many places sell the 5 pound foam and everything I read is that is far too firm. Under 3 pound and you get no support. Foam thickness is also important. Under 4 inches and you might as well get a plain foam rubber mattress. Though I might have liked 1 more inch of depth, 4 does seem to be enough, 5 might be optimal. Also some foam mattresses do not have a dense enough foam under the memory foam, 6+ inches or more of base firm foam is optimal. This mattress was a good fit and $1000 less than another…
I was apprehensive with this purchase at first because I was going from the king of foam mattresses, which I paid over $3700 for, to a name I did not recognize. I was worried about the quality and the sleeping experience. I am happy to report, my concerns were unwarranted.I have had this mattress for two months. It arrived quickly at my doorstep as expected. The exterior box was a bit beat up from handling but it did not affect the mattress or it's protective bag in any manner. The box opened easily. The mattress was folded inside a thick plastic. I'm a college student who uses my futon as a bed/couch. Since I got the new mattress I have been sleeping so much better (it is sooooo comfy). The only problem I have had so far is getting it from bed mode back into couch mode. It might be the fact that my frame was designed for a much smaller mattress, but it still takes 2 people to get it upright with the new mattress.
As mattresses go, I can swear by this one. It delivered fast and without hassle, it was obscenely comfortable, it fit the frame we have perfectly, and the price could not be beaten. I could not be happier with it.The only downside (and the sole reason for my four star rating) is that a few months along it has already lost some of its fluffiness. It is by no means in the condition of the mattress it replaced, but the constant up and down of a group of ~200 lb. guys using it as a couch during the day has rendered it merely comfortable and not a divine surface of sleep inducing glory.

So i was sleeping for years on a coil mattress that was probably 10-15 years old, maybe even older. My back hurt EVERY MORNING after waking up, and I never felt rested. I though it was just from sleep apnea or me tossing and turning, but it got to the point where my girlfriend was also waking up sore, so I knew the mattress had to go. Searching online and going to b&m stores I found great mattresses, but the prices weren't so great (Fell in love with Tempurpedic and the Duxiana beds). This mattress came rolled up (compressed). It has a soft white cover which can be unzipped and washed, I think. It was heavy but I was able to lift it by myself and drag the box up a flight of stairs. I have never owned a memory foam mattress before so I was expecting it to be lighter. When I got it upstairs, I removed the packaging, and unrolled the mattress, which decompresses into its original form.The mattress is as supportive as my regular mattress. I consider this one to be firm. I would recommend this mattress. There is an odor which is similar to latex paint, but it is fading. I have been sleeping on this mattress for a week and it I love it.

I've long wanted to get a memory foam mattress but have steered clear because they can get very hot. Since I'm also going through menopause, I don't need my mattress to heat things up even more.
